Simon Sinek put it succinctly in one of his quotes, "A team is not a group of people who work together, but it is a group of people who #trust each other". At #PBJAM, #trust is crucial for our success and for our customers' success. We trust each other to do the right thing, we trust each other to deliver on promises, we trust each other to actively listen to each other, and our trust in each other results in #SafeSpace for all #PBJAM members. #SafeSpace is where we interact openly, kindly, and honestly.
#Trust allows us to not shy away from genuine feedback for each other and #trust also creates a healthy and open environment where we #engage, #grow and #thrive. Driven by #trust, we all are assured that despite our different paths and approaches, we all are marching towards the same #PBJAM goals.
In my professional life, #trust has freed me to focus on topics where I could add value. #Trust freed me from the temptation of #micromanagement, it opened up my calendar and for many new ideas, projects that changed the course of the business significantly.
In our first two sessions of the 12-week program, we talk a lot about being #CriticalFriend and building #SafeSpace. These discussions are structured to build #trust amongst the #group members so that they can open up and share their professional concerns honestly. Also, #trust allows them to provide unbiased feedback than just saying nice things to each other.
