Thankfulness and Your Career Growth

#TLDR: Choosing to be consciously and regularly thankful not only boosts your career but also improves your job satisfaction

As we enter the 2021 holiday season, there are many reasons to be thankful for the year that is coming to an end. Here in North America, we take this time to reflect and thank our families and friends as #Thanksgiving.

At #PBJAM, we strongly encourage our subscribers to expand this thought process from once a year holiday tradition into a regular conscious activity via different #behaviors under the #facets of #leadership, #communication, #collaboration, and #beingvalued.

  • One can't expect to have the best working relationships with all colleagues at work, however, a few words of sincere #appreciation even towards your adversaries can go a long way in building your reputation as a strong and balanced individual.

  • Conscious action of thinking of instances/actions/responses that you want to be thankful for greatly reduces workplace #stress and helps you to see your work environment in a positive light.

  • The human mind is trained to spot the negative and hence when you notice something #positive, your colleagues, managers, and team members will differentiate you as a thoughtful and constructive individual.

  • It is not easy to maintain and sustain such a positive outlook unless you make conscious and continuing efforts with #accountability partners, like working through #PBJAM

I personally try to wake up every morning with a smile on my face and thank the universe for giving me one more day in this beautiful world. That simple action sets me up for a great morning which in turn results in focused work early in the morning and shapes my workday.

How do you try to be #thankful at #workplace? What helps you to improve your outlook towards your #job and #colleagues? Which #PBJAM behaviors have you tried out and how have they helped you? Write your comments below!
